Boulters Weir

How to find Boulters and where to meet us

Whichever way you are coming to the event you first need to get to the M4 junction 8/9 or the M40 junction 4.

From The M4 Junction 8/9

  • Come off the M4 at junction 8/9

  • Take the A308 towards Maidenhead

  • Take the 1st exit onto staying on the A308 (Braywick Road)

  • Straight over the 1st roundabout, heading for Maidenhead

  • Follow road around heading for the A4 and Slough

  • At large roundabout take 3rd exit A4 towards Slough

  • Go straight over the next two roundabouts continuing towards Slough

  • At 3rd roundabout turn left onto A4094 (Ray Mead Road) do not cross river

  • The car park is 100 yards after Ray Mill Road East on the left. – See below for what to do then

From The M40 Junction 4

  • Come off the M40 at junction 4

  • Get onto the A404 towards M4 and Maidenhead

  • At the first roundabout take the 2nd exit continuing towards M4 on the A404

  • Take the 2nd exit from the A404 towards Maidenhead

  • Go left Towards Maidenhead

  • Go straight over the next Roundabout onto the A4 towards Maidenhead

  • Continue along A4 straight over 2 mini roundabouts towards Maidenhead/ Slough

  • At big roundabout take 2nd exit for Slough on A4

  • Go straight over the next two roundabouts continuing towards Slough

  • At 3rd roundabout turn left onto A4094 (Ray Mead Road) do not cross river

  • The car park is 100 yards after Ray Mill Road East on the left. See below for what to do then

Both North and South:- Take junction 15 off the M1. Follow signs to Billing Aquadrome on the A45. Take the 4th exit of the A45 is signed posted Hospital. Go down the slip road up to the round about. Take the 4th exit towards Bedford.  You will see the white water centre on the right hand side.

On site there is a cafe doing burgers, toasties and other foods.

There are changing rooms, showers and toilet facilities on site for competitors to use along with family and friends.

Washburn

For those of you who haven't been to the Washburn before some details can be found here:http://www.yorcie.org.uk/washburn/

The Washburn is a dam release site between Thruscross (SE155574) and Fewston Reservoirs (SE169554) set in the picturesque Yorkshire Dales. The egress is at the car park adjacent to the A59 Harrogate to Skipton Road at Blubberhouses Church near where the road from Otley crosses and proceeds northwards towards West End. The Access car park is reached by following the sign to West End along the narrowing road and entering the site via a metal gate on the right hand side just before a very steep hill. Follow the forest road to the car park.
